Our Test

The Junior Secondary Aptitude Placement Test is the initiative of Nogadata Education Testing Service. It is designed and introduced as an educational aptitude placement instrument to assign students after successfully completing junior secondary school to areas of potential ability for Post-Basic Education to ensure successful learning/training as well as future career development.

The test is a comprehensive computer scored standardized test that makes accurate analyses of students’ interest leanings and aptitude in order to place them into their best suited aptitude area for Post-Basic Education. The test is designed with predictive ability and ensures that students who may be academically weak are identified and guided to undertake vocational school/apprenticeship training. It also identifies those that prefer Vocational/Technical Education instead of main stream Secondary Education.
The Junior Secondary Aptitude Placement Test is now increasingly being used across Nigeria as a standardized instrument for uniform aptitude placement of JS3 students after completing Junior Secondary School. Presently Nogadata Education Testing Service administers the Junior Secondary Aptitude Placement Test yearly in over 250 private secondary schools in Lagos, the South-West and in Abuja since February 2007 with credible results.
Faith based schools such as the Anglican Communion Schools, Catholic Mission Schools, Anwar-U-Islam Schools as well as University based secondary schools are among many numerous privately owned secondary schools that presently engage the use of the Junior Secondary Aptitude Placement Test. The test is revised regularly to improve on its effectiveness to meet contemporary validity standards.
