4. How are the results used?

The results of the JSAP are used primarily to assist schools in making informed and objective decisions regarding the placement of students into appropriate education aptitude options for post-junior secondary education.

Specifically, the results help to:

• Identify each student's academic strengths and aptitude profile.
• Recommend the most suitable senior secondary pathway (Science, Arts, Commercial, Technology, etc.) or vocational/technical training.
• Support Guidance Counsellors during educational and career counselling.
• Assist school administrators in creating balanced and well-structured classes.
• Help teachers understand students' learning potential.
• Provide parents with valuable insight into their child's academic abilities and future prospects.

Because the recommendations are based on standardized assessment rather than opinion or assumption, schools are able to make placement decisions that are fair, transparent, and evidence-based.
