9. Has the JSAP been used successfully before?

Since 2006, Nogadata Education Testing Service has been yearly administering the JSAP test. Presently, the test is conducted in over 200 private Junior secondary schools across Nigeria with credible and verifiable results.

It is adjudged by many private secondary schools’ authorities as a relevant and effective standardized supplement to aid post-basic education progression of JS3 students. Through their long-standing participation, these schools have used the test results to:

• Ensure objective student placement into academically suitable SS1 classes based on aptitude and cognitive profiles, while also taking the interest of the student as a key parameter.
• Identify learners more suitable for alternative education pathways such as technical/vocational education.
